I'm sure this comment will be deleted since it challenges what is said in this article, but some of the statements here aren't true.

First of all, it is said that the pasteurization of milk "destroys the acidity of the milk" and therefore makes the calcium indigestible. I'm sorry? Do you know what the pH of your stomach fluid is? The hydrochloric acid in your stomach along with enzymes denatures all kinds of proteins, including those that bind to calcium.

Secondly, milk has a fairly low glycemic index (insulin response over time). I'd be more worried about eating any sort of bread compared to milk.

On top of these scientific facts, did you know taller people are viewed as more beautiful? Psych studies have shown that taller people more often live lives with higher paying jobs and are more likely to succeed based on the perception of others. Perhaps height isn't such a bad thing.

Compounded on these reasons, milk also has been shown to have no effect on human growth hormone levels. rGBH has been a big issue for years and years, but many reputable studies have shown no changes due to drinking milk.

Seriously though, milk is a great source of protein, carbs, and fats. Your body needs all of these, along with the calcium and vitamin D milk provides. Quit cutting out things you evolved to survive with. You cannot and should not cut out any one food group, milk included.

I first heard about the problems mlk can cause form an unusual source - Tony Robbins.

At first I thought he was delusional but I read into it some more and milk can cause a huge array of problems. From restricting digestion due to its mucus production, developing lactose intolerance and many more - I forget them all now.

I think some people are fine with milk but there's clearly many who aren't and blanket comments like - "Got Milk" can probably do more harm than good!

This is really a comprehensive discussion about milk. I never thought that too much drinking of milk can harm one person's health. Good insights here.

Wow, this is such an interesting article. I much prefer other dairy products like yoghurt over milk, so it's good news for me!

I completely agree. I haven't known as much of the science behind it (until now!) but Milk has always made me feel very unhealthy. I've also cut out Eggs. Almost Vegan! :)
