Expecting mothers are not advised to make any use of the oil, as the oil tends to reduce the body’s ability to absorb iron. Certain areas of the body such as the genitals’ or that of the mucous membranes or eyes, may feel a burning sensation after the use of the oil. So, make sure that the oil is properly diluted (with olive or coconut oil) before it is used.
